JAMAICA AND THE VIRUS

Since I don't understand the science I'm proposing a middle course somewhat akin to "muddling through" (that British influence again). I read that the UK is somewhat counting on the virus "burning itself through." (Not equipped to define that.) Not going all out on stopping it now, since there's a chance that it will lessen in the summer and come back even worse in the winter (along with the flu). So I'm counting on the spirits to guide my thinking: a little of this, a little of that. Keeping the immune strong is key. Bring out the folk healers. Follow the social distancing memes. Be clean and neat in all places--like the whole of Jamaica was a Zen garden. Show the tourists (if there are any ) that we're paying strict attention to sanitation. Cook the food in front of them if need be. Serve the food in some container that they can see is sanitary. Use the sun. Put everything out in the sun with its disinfecting capacities. Preserve the wooden houses that don't need AC (AC could harbor the virus). Close down the cement company. The cement dust can't be helping. Build nothing. Tear down nothing. Keep calm and cool, and use your head. Be very very diligent.
