HOPE FOR MEGAHOTELS?

The older I get (and you'd think I was old enough already!!!!!) the less I like extremes and sudden breaks. What we have with megahotels might be responsive to pressure one way or another. I can see megahotels loosening up, letting taxis in, diverting some trade to local places, using their power to ensure safety and system, etc. Bur I can also see that being influenced by independent efforts toward community tourism. The more we do and the more power we amass, the better deal with megahotels we can expect. (Trench Town Culture Yard has expertise with community tourism.) Meanwhile, we have to resist the construction of MORE megahotels. We have to correct the imbalance, and change the paradigm first.
